Our Clear Mountain Community Notice Board
Home About Us Contact Us Notice Board Sponsors

Greetings ClearMountaineers,

The purpose of this site is to provide an electronic community notice board similar to the manual notice board found at the corner of Branch Creek Road and Clear Mountain Road.
The notice board section is completely free with a few easy rules.

  1. Nothing illegal or immoral to be posted. The Web Manager reserves the right to remove messages so deemed.
  2. If you 'pin' a message to the notice board for a short term message - ie lost/found or for sale/wanted, you will remove the message at the successful completion of the notice.
  3. The Web Manager will review all messages at the end of each calendar month and remove messages over three weeks old to 'un-clutter' the notice board. You may re pin the message if it is still current
  4. If you subscribe to the free e-mail address at ourclearmountain.org, or leave another e-mail address, you will be contacted by the Web Manager so that you can 'pin' the message again.

Those with pets who go missing (or someone who has found a pet) will be able to post a note and hopefully get a quick response.

Additionally

The web site will include the same features as a physical notice board – anyone who logs on can 'pin' a note on the billboard page - and there will be sections for lost and found, events, services, wanted/for sale etc, just like a physical board.

The site will also provide one free e-mail address to each family on request through the web site. Privacy will be strictly adhered to. It will be up to the user to give out the e-mail address

A pet register will be set up, and those who wish can submit their ourclearmountain.org e-mail address so that all registered members receive an e-mail of someone's missing pet and keep an eye out for it.
In addition, there will be an area for any businesses in our community to provide sponsorship by subscribing at very cheap rates to assist in defraying costs. Users of this service can submit details to me and have an ad on ourclearmountain.org and/or link to their own web site

My business, Scorpion Computer Techsperience, is a major sponsor, and any one who wishes to take part in subscriptions/advertising can e-mail me at john@ourclearmountain.org or phone 0411 109 877.

I hope that this web site will be used by all residents as a community service. I also look forward to resident input on ways to make the site useful to our needs.

Lost and Found

Lost and found pets seem to abound around here with some horrific reports about wild dogs. This is what has prompted the creation of the web site.

However Lost and Found also relates to other lost/found items.

It is planned to create a database, 'PetWatch', of voluntary users who are willing to participate in the receipt of e-mails and help to find a missing pet. Pet owners can also register so that a found pet can be identified via a photograph, breed, colour etc, as well as phone numbers attached to collars. (Sometimes the phone number may not answer or be otherwise un-available).
