CLAYBREAKER is a solution containing modified natural polymers which reduce the water resistance of soils with a high clay content. Traditional wetting agents have little effect on clay soils, but CLAYBREAKER is not a wetting agent or fertiliser but is just as easy to apply. CLAYBREAKER displays ongoing activity and can be reapplied every 6 to 8 months.
HOW IT WORKS
CLAYBREAKER firstly drops the pH of the soil, secondly, an abundance of negative ions are added into the soil which attach themselves to the soil particle and thirdly, the layer of attached water disassociates itself from the clay particle, flowing away as free water.
These actions change or 'break down' the clay particle rendering it unable to swell when moisture is present. Water can therefore flow more freely through the soil structure improving the overall soil quality.
CAUTION
In its undiluted form CLAYBREAKER is acidic and caution should be used when handling. Diluted CLAYBREAKER is essentially non-harmful but safe handling practices for chemicals should always be used.
APPLICATION
CLAYBREAKER should be diluted in water and applied using any water spraying equipment. On the following day, lightly water dry ground to improve the effect but do not over water to generate runoff. Wet or saturated ground does not require a second watering.
