FERTILISER STABILISER TO STOP LEACH AND INCREASE CROP YIELD
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Relying upon valuable field experience and ongoing research and development, Reynolds Soil Technologies Pty Ltd has developed a unique product that reduces the leeching of soluble fertilisers through the soil structure.
LOCKTIGHT is a blend of granular long chain polymers which firstly attach themselves to the individual soil particles and secondly hold the fertilisers that have been applied within the root zone.
APPLICATION
Mix LOCKTIGHT dry with your granular fertilisers and apply in and around the drip zone of palms.
DOSAGE RATE
Apply LOCKTIGHT at an equivalent rate of 2-5 kg per hectare mixed with your recommended fertilisers. For lighter more permeable soils a higher rate of 7-10 kg per hectare should be applied.
Estimated fertiliser reduction: 20-30%.
IMPORTANT:
The addition of LOCKTIGHT to your current fertiliser program will increase crop yields.
Alternatively the addition of LOCKTIGHT with a reduced fertiliser application rate (20 – 30%) will maintain current crop yield but give savings on fertiliser usage.
BENEFITS
Palm plantation current thinking is to apply fertiliser heavier when it is not likely to rain- this is despite rainy seasons being the seasons when the plants need the most fertiliser – adding "Leech Control" negates this and allows applied fertiliser to stay within the root zone during wet periods.
