Australian Awards for Teaching Excellence - 2009 Award Winners
The Minister for Education, the Hon Julia Gillard, recently announced winners of the Australian Awards for Teaching Excellence at a ceremony in the Great Hall of Parliament House, Canberra. Special congratulations to the 2 language teachers who received these prestigious awards - Melissa Gould-Drakeley and Christiane Conesa-Bostock. Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE ProjectApplications are now open for schools to participate in the 2010 Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE Project. Managed by the Asia Education Foundation, the Australia-Indonesia BRIDGE Project aims to increase knowledge and understanding between Australia and Indonesia through school-to-school partnerships that link students in both countries. Early Bird Registration to close soon!!!
Early bird registrations for the biennial AFMLTA National Conference are due to close at the end of February. Hosted by the MLTANSW and to be held in Sydney in July 2009 this will be the first time the biennial event has returned to New South Wales since 1980.
